With the flip of a switch, the Camtherm is able to switch from gentle, non-drying heat to chilling in 3 hours and from chilling ingredients to maintaing temperature in 1 and 1/2 hours. In an independent laboratory test, the Camtherm was tested against a same-capacity, leading metal cabinet for energy efficiency. The results showed that over the course of 8 hours of holding, the Camtherm cabinet used 48% less electricity than the metal cabinet.
